UPMC Northwest in Seneca, PA is seeking a skilled and dedicated part-time MRI Technologist to join our dynamic team, serving weekends between 6:00a.m. - 4:30p.m.. As an MRI Technologist, you will perform imaging procedures at a high technical level, demonstrating independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for diagnostic purposes. Become a member of our life-changing team today!nnAn Inside Look at UPMC Imaging Services: An Inside Look at UPMC Imaging Services – My Career at UPMC ( Areas, Imaging: Imaging Careers at UPMC ( this role, you will have the opportunity to:nnMaintain clinical competencies for all exams and equipment.nnIdentify all patients properly by using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures.nnReview patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols for optimal results in the acquisition of data including the labeling /preparation/and administration of contrast.nnDocument patient history in electronic record as required.nnRead and present all relevant information to the physician based on protocol prior to start of exam.nnEnsure all exams within his/her area of responsibility are properly coded and tracked through RIS system, all patient information is updated and documented in Rad Assessment, all exams are properly networked to ISITE for archiving and interpretation, and all charges are adequately entered for the exams performed.nnPractice and maintain MR safety in the department.nnDemonstrate a strong ability to interact with both patients and co-workers, while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity and respect.nnWork as team member within the department and all other departments to expedite patient care efficiently.nnPerform procedures for reviewing, processing, and archiving.nnDemonstrate the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner and explain procedures to help allay the patient’s fears and solicit their cooperation.nnQualifications:nnGraduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT or ARDMS program.nnLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:nnMust obtain MR registry within 18 months of hire date. CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hirennAct 31 Mandated Reporter Training within 90 days of hire or transfernnARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS)nnBasic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)nnAct 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewalnnAct 33 with renewalnnAct 34 with renewalnnAct 73 FBI Clearance with renewalnnUPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
