SHIFTS AVAILABLE :

  • Monday through Friday 7:30AM to 4:00PM. Call and holiday shifts are required.
  • Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM. Call and holiday shifts are required.

SALARY : $27.21 - $42.99

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY:

The MRI Technologist will provide MRI imaging services to patients while departmental expectations are met and sustained.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Articulate a precise understanding of how data flows in and out of the modality work area. Be attentive to patient satisfaction results and collaborate with the management team on ways to improve the department and the facility overall. Seek ways to improve systems and services. Demonstrate ability to meet and sustain departmental expectations for MRI staff while ethically completing work assignments. Maintain integrity of equipment with careful manipulation at all times. Adhere to MRI safety regulations and standards. Understand the level of authority to grant access to the MRI area. Assist the Medical Physicist in performing quality assurance testing as needed. Demonstrate a sustained ability when interacting with patients to follow the AIDET principles (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Expectation, and Thank You). Ensure confidentiality of all patient information is maintained. Maintain current certifications and licensure status. Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines. May complete unit/department-specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

General computer skills.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

General supervision is received from Manager, Operations Program Coordinator, and Supervisor of Radiology.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

Supervision over Student Tech Assistants and students performing clinical studies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); or MRI Technologist certification by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
