We source broadly, engage in dynamic discussions with general partners and management teams, provide candid feedback, and set realistic expectations. We invest in funds, co-investments, and direct investments, focusing on thematic areas such as software, industrials, life sciences, and more.nnWe seek the most intellectually curious individuals that are excellent problem solvers. An ability to work independently and collaboratively is a must. A strong understanding of the general ledger is critical.nnPrimary Responsibilities:nnSupport the day-to-day accounting and financial statements of the Cortes Capital entitiesnnRecord journal entries related to investment activity, including capital calls, distributions, and quarterly valuation changesnnSet up, process, and record capital calls and distribution noticesnnPrepare financial statements and assist with footnotesnnReconcile various accounts, promptly researching and correcting any variancesnnAssist with the monthly, quarterly, annual closing cyclesnnAssist with quarterly valuation reviews and preparation of quarterly investor update materialsnnAssist with gathering and coordinating investment partnership tax documentsnnEducation and Experience:nnMust have excellent academic credentialsnnBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance requirednnMinimum of at least two years of experience working in an accounting role for a financial services firm, fund administrator, or public accounting firmnnBig 4 experience is a plusnnCPA preferred but not requirednnExperience with private equity and fund accounting software is helpfulnnMust have proficiency in Microsoft ExcelnnJob Function(s): Accounting and FinancennLove’s Travel Stops & Country Stores is the industry-leading travel stop network in the United States.
