Description
The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is seeking a talented Network Technician II to enhance our computer data communications systems. This role involves providing design specifications, conducting testing and inspections for computer networks, planning and implementing upgrades, and organizing solutions through network modeling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN devices.
- Resolve incident tickets efficiently and effectively.
- Draft and implement standard network change requests.
- Assist Tier III network engineers with site surveys, equipment installations, and incident management.
- Manage configuration tasks, including updating topology drawings and ensuring accurate asset management records.
- Coordinate network operations, maintenance, and upgrades, with knowledge of the CISCO/Juniper RMA process.
Requirements:
- Must possess TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
- Combined work experience and education of 10 years is required (Doctorate and 3 years, Master's and 4 years, Bachelor's and 6 years, Associate's and 8 years, or High School diploma and 10 years).
- Must comply with Department of Defense (DoD) 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
Additional Qualifications:
- Proficient in TCP/IP and OSI model knowledge.
- Working knowledge of basic routing fundamentals.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are essential.
- Experience with Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks (e.g., CAT5, fiber optics, serial cables).
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 switching (including VLANs and Port Security).
- Experienced with Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade, and Foundry OS.
- Familiarity with Layer 3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, and GRE; experience with Visio, ServiceNow, and Confluence is a plus.
- Responsibilities may involve up to 10% COMSEC tasks.

Pay Range: $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
