A well-established Managed Service Provider (MSP) in New Jersey has been delivering adaptable IT solutions for over 13 years, supporting businesses with expertise in cybersecurity, cloud services, networking, and business continuity. Known for their collaborative, team-oriented approach, they prioritize providing exceptional service to clients, including private equity firms with high security and service expectations.


They are seeking a System Administrator Level 3 for a hybrid rotation role that combines technical support, systems administration, and project work, with a focus on systems and some networking. This position is ideal for a versatile professional who thrives on working across systems, cloud, and networking technologies. Around 20% of the role involves project-based tasks like network build-outs, migrations, and virtualization, working alongside senior engineers on configurations involving M365, Azure, VMware, and Meraki.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support to end-users, both remotely and onsite, addressing escalated issues with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Manage and resolve Level 2 tickets, ensuring timely follow-up and thorough documentation in the ticketing system.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, including servers, networks, and backups, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
  • Perform installations, configurations, and maintenance of hardware and software, including servers, workstations, and network devices.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on projects such as system upgrades, migrations, virtualization, and network enhancements.
  • Administer and maintain cloud services, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and backup solutions.
  • Assist in developing and updating internal documentation, including processes, configurations, and best practices.
  • Support the Help Desk team by mentoring Level 1 technicians and providing guidance for resolving complex issues.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, patch management, and endpoint protection, to ensure client systems are safeguarded.
  • Engage with clients to provide excellent service, ensuring satisfaction and fostering strong relationships.


Requirements:

  • Experience working for an Managed Service Provider (MSP) - Requirement.
  • 2–5 years of IT Support and server management experience.
  • Proficient with ticketing systems (ConnectWise, Autotask, etc).
  • Experience with Azure Entra, M365, firewall management, basic network concepts
  • Intune MDM is a plus
