In this System Administrator II opportunity, you will support BAE's classified and unclassified lab environments that use Windows and Linux networked systems, with expertise in setting up and managing Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Management, SharePoint, and Exchange services.
As part our team supporting closed areas you will make impacts in the following ways; - Support internal customers, designing, implementing and managing lab infrastructure to meet the customer requirements. In this role, you will build, configure, administer and troubleshoot Windows (and Linux) servers and user workstation hardware and software; design and implement workgroup-scale networks; build and manage authentication, file-share, and other collaboration servers to support groups of heterogeneous client systems.
- Partner with facilities security staff to develop and apply hardening steps for systems for classified use to NISPOM Chapter 8, JAFAN, and other customer standards.
- Document system configuration for new and existing systems. Experience with centralized authentication technologies such as LDAP and Active Directory domains in supporting (Windows/Linux) cross-platform clients is desirable.
- Respond to occasional off-hours outages and take part in subsequent service restoration efforts.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Must possess an active Security Clearance and is required to be considered for this position
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
- Must possess current CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent) certification.
- Experience in enterprise level Windows Server operating environments, including Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Management, SharePoint, Exchange services.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining DHCP and DNS settings
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and Microsoft Networking concepts
- Windows shell scripting
- Experience with RAID technologies.
- General knowledge and experience of backup solutions
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, virtual machines and other IT related appliances.
- Must be customer service oriented, attentive to detail, self-motivated and work well in teams.
- Flexibility in approach to finding solutions, the ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities and learn new technologies quickly.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Associate or Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant system administration work experience or equivalent experience
- Windows and Unix/Linux interoperability services (e.g. centralized authentication technologies for cross-platform clients)
- VMware and ESXi systems experience; upgrades, VM imports and migrations Ability to manage VMWare ESXi VM Servers
- Flexera LMTOOLs or some other concurrent licensing software experience
- Windows Server upgrading and troubleshooting
- SQL database troubleshooting and maintenance
- Experience LINUX run and maintain skills
- Experience with BackupExec and VEEAM applications.
- Experience with NETAPP systems and other NAS storage.
- General understanding of NETAPP systems (NAS storage)
- Experience with managing Trellix (McAfee) EPO2 anti-virus server tools and deployed endpoint clients
- Knowledge of security patching tools (WSUS) and/or script-based Microsoft patching techniques
- Experience managing VMWare ESXi VM Servers; standing up new VMs, running and maintaining existing VMs
- Excellent trouble shooting skill
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $75570 - $128480
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
