Job Description The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays and computed tomography. The Radiologic Technologist provides X-Ray, diagnostic ultrasound, and CT services.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide x-ray, diagnostic ultrasound including Focused Abdominal Sonogram for Trauma (FAST), abdominal, thoracic, renal, cardiac (limited), OB (limited/emergent), GYN, genitourinary, and vascular evaluations.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Prepares patients for radiological procedure by positioning patient.
- Adjusts immobilization devices, moves equipment into specified positions and modifies equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- Providing explanations of treatment and answering questions for patients.
- Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding and knowledge of exposure factors.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Follows drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid and using the emergency cart.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
- Performance of other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Basic Requirements/Certifications :
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Radiology Technician is required including 6 months within the last year.
- Must have an unrestricted license or be American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certified.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required: - Must have completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma, Certificate or associate degree. U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school training certification (4R0X1, 68P, HM-8451) may also fulfil this requirement.
Physical Requirements :
- Must meet pre-deployment physical requirements.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications :
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Valid US Passport with at least 6 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate.

Compensation / Min: 120,000 Max: 135,000
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
