Job Summary: Provides patient services using imaging modalities. Performs general radiography and computed tomography (CT) procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection. Evaluates radiographs and CT scans for technical quality. Exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care essential to radiographic / CT procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures.
Education: Minimum of an associate degree from an accredited school of x-ray technology or equivalent experience, bachelor's degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Registration: (ARRT). Active/valid Oregon license. Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training and meets the requirement for registration by ARRT. Computed Tomography certification by ARRT required. CPR certification required.
Experience: 1-5 years' experience preferred in both general radiography and CT. Prior travel experience preferred. Siemen's equipment experience preferred.
Specific Information: Must be able to perform general radiography daily as needed, CT is the primary role. Shared call involves a minimum of one night per week and one weekend per month.
