- Processing and maintaining accounts payable records, reconciling vendor's statements, and assuring accurate payments to suppliers.
- Updating and reconciling the sub-ledger to the general ledger. Maintaining cash applications, and chargebacks.
- Maintaining organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
- Reconciling accounts payable transactions and resolving any discrepancies.
- Reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy and appropriate authorization.
- Preparing and processing electronic transfers for payments and managing payments.
- Delivering analytical, organized and detail-oriented accounting expertise.
- Providing meaningful analysis, interpretation, and presentation of accounting and financial data, including communicating complex ideas to senior managers.
- Assuring compliance with government regulations, as required.
- Exercises responsibility for the accuracy and timely reporting of financial data.
- Analyze, implement, and calculate overhead rates and breaks down fixed vs. variable cost.
- Reviews and monitors internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- May supervise other team members.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE : (Minimum requirements):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4-5 years of working experience in account payables, accounting, financial and business principles that maximized revenue and profits in a manufactured environment.
- Supervisory experience.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards is a plus.
- Good communication skills and ability to communicate with upper management.
