Job Description: All's Well Healthcare Services - Travel is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Hamilton, New York.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: ED - Emergency DepartmentDiscipline: RNDuration: 13 weeksEmployment Type: Travel Travel Package: $2,534.80/week No local candidates within 80 miles of Hamilton, NY ONLY TRAVEL ASAP STARTS Variable Shifts 12 hour shifts 10 bed unit RN ratio: 5-1 Common patient diagnosis: CHF, COPD, syncope, non-STEMI, DKA, wound issue, THR, TKR, lumbar surgery, general surgery, COVID. Duties: Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on severity Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians Monitor patient vital signs and document medical information Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and healthcare team members Provide wound care and emergency medical interventions Prepare patients for surgeries, procedures, and diagnostic tests Educate patients and their families about medical conditions and treatments Maintain a sterile and safe working environment Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols Assist in the management of patient admissions and discharges Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families Conduct ongoing assessments and reassessments of patient conditions Ensure accurate and detailed patient records and reports Perform diagnostic tests, such as EKGs and blood draws Handle administrative tasks, including ordering supplies and maintaining equipment Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in the ER Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required Prefer TNCC and ENPC. Triage nurse training Experience in a high-volume emergency room Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends Strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems Experience with critical care or trauma nursing Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures Great benefits.
