Quality Assurance Specialist - Chemistry

Hunter International is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in a fast-paced, energetic environment focused on over-the-counter pharmaceutical testing. This role is pivotal to ensuring quality standards are met in finished goods and stability testing, supporting lean manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of in-process and finished pharmaceutical products using gravimetric, spectrophotometric, and HPLC methods.
• Perform routine analytical testing on intermediates, finished goods, and stability products, ensuring compliance with USP, NF, and company standards.
• Utilize advanced laboratory instruments, including HPLC, spectrophotometer, viscometer, and more.
• Maintain accurate records of testing data and ensure proper documentation for laboratory forms.
• Troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation malfunctions.
• Investigate non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Adhere to GMPs, ISO standards, and corporate safety programs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and other departments to optimize processes and resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry).
• Strong knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory techniques, including HPLC, UV, GC, IR, and AA.
• Familiarity with USP, NF, and EP testing procedures preferred.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and GMP compliance.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment while demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
