Interventional Radiology & Cath Lab Technologist - Lewiston, ID 83501
Must-Haves
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Cardiovascular technologist (CVT), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
At least one year experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures in a cardiac and/or general catheterization laboratory
At least 1 year experience in digital and cine imaging and archiving.
Shift/Weekend Rotation:
Monday - Friday; 8-hour shifts: 7am - 3:30pm
Call Schedule:
10-13 nights/month; minimum 1-2 weekend/month
Volume/Caseload
: 30 plus scheduled cases per week
Types of Procedures:
TCAR, , Peripheral vascular, Pacemakers, Defibrillators, Right and Left Heart Cath, STEMI, and Stroke
SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS (pay is based on majority of hours worked)
• Evening Shift (3pm - 11:30pm) = 8%
• Night Shift (11:00pm - 7:30am) = 11%
• No Weekend Differential
The Cath Lab Technologist works in the cardiovascular catheterization laboratory performing a number of special duties including, but not limited to, operating all of the radiographic fluoroscopic equipment while performing general diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Works with an provides assistance to all physicians, technologists, and nurses, to maintain a customer friendly environment in the laboratory. Participates and shares with call rotation, while adhering to variable shift scheduling. The Cath Lab Technologist is accountable for compliance with all hospital and applicable regulatory standards of licenses/certificate.
Minimum Requirements:
One of the following:
• merican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Cardiovascular technologist (CVT)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• BLS on first day or to be assigned by the Learning Center
• CLS - within 3-months of hire (to be assigned by the Learning Center)
• t least one year experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures in a cardiac and/or general catheterization laboratory
• t least 1 year experience in digital and cine imaging and archiving.
• Required rolls for this position are:
• X-ray Proficiency
• Monitoring Proficiency
• Scrubbing Proficiency
Persons not meeting the above requirements will be evaluated for eligibility on an individual basis.
