Skills and Experience: - Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, required. - BLS-certified - Psychiatric nursing experience or knowledge of Veteran/Military population preferred. - Clinical knowledge of mental health to enable effective interactions and communications with referring clinical providers. - Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively and complete tasks. - Highly motivated, independent, and capable of performing in a busy, complex clinical environment. - Exceptional computer skills (including operating systems, word processing, database, electronic mail, Internet, spreadsheets, and other office management systems such as MS Outlook, MS Office, EPIC, Sales Force). - Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication, and public speaking skills while conversing with patients, families, health professionals. Home Base, a Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital program, is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds – including post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, anxiety, depression, co-occurring substance use disorder, family relationship challenges and other issues associated with Military service – for Veterans of all eras, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen through world-class clinical care, wellness, education, and research. Home Base is currently seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals dealing with the invisible wounds related to Military Service, including post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, anxiety, depression, co-occurring substance use disorder, and family relationship challenges. This role will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary clinical team to provide care to patients across all clinical services at Home Base, including the Intensive Clinical Program and Brain Health program. Responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day medical needs of patients in the intensive programs, such as taking vitals, ordering, and obtaining lab work, administering toxicology screens, providing medical condition management and triage, overseeing medication management and patient education, monitoring patients during fitness sessions, and collaborating with the treatment team in shared medical case management. In addition, this position will conduct screening calls with patients prior to their arrival and assist with reviewing medical record across programs.
