As Industrial Designer in Design + Innovation Team, you will have the opportunity to work with a group of diverse and talented multi-disciplinary designers and develop your design career as a member of a world-class design organization. Responsibilities
n
Being a member of the renowned Design + Innovation Team which takes in 65+ design awards globally every year, you will collaborate with cross-disciplinary design teams, including Design Research, UXUI design and CMF, to come up with consumer-centric, groundbreaking Industrial Design and concepts for Lenovo’s IDG (Intelligent Device Group) business.
n
This role reports to Director, Strategic Design & Innovation. We expect the Industrial Designer with demonstrated experiences to advance and apply people-centric design method and create purposeful and innovative design solutions.
n
· Design & develop innovative Industrial Design and innovations to wow our end-users and create values for business and elevate Lenovo Brand.
n
· Leverage & use repeatable tools, templates, process documentation, and communication plans for various programs and efforts.
n

Collaborate on or participate research on user behavior, and translate them into user stories, design concepts, mockups, and prototypes.

Produce high-quality creative solutions to complex problems based on user needs & goals.

Designing, forming, and presenting design proposals to team leaders.

Collaborate with PM, PO, TPM and other experts to deliver high-quality design.

Comfortable working in the face of ambiguity, and able to design and drive Industrial Design to meet customer needs.

Basic Qualifications:
n
· Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design or other related fields.
n
· 6+ years of Industrial Design experience in consumer electronics or related industry.
n
· Skills in a variety of design tools such as Rhino, KeyShot, SolidWorks, Creo, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
n
· Experience in both HW and digital prototyping and comfortable working in a highly agile environment
n
· Experience in working with a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with development team for implementation of designs
n
Preferred Qualifications:
n
· Understanding of how to use design artifacts to effectively build alignment, communicate ideas, and deliver an experience
n
· Self-motivated, thrive on challenges, and enjoy getting things done
n
