The Physician Assistant will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care for emergency care patients. You will perform a variety of essential functions, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and stabilization in fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling a wide range of medical emergencies, demonstrating strong clinical thinking, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining detailed medical histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of acute medical conditions and traumatic injuries commonly encountered in the emergency department.
- Perform emergency procedures such as suturing, splinting, intubation, central line placement, and other procedures as required and within the scope of practice.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary emergency department team to provide timely and efficient patient care.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans and discharge plans.
- Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree, required.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current NY State Physician Assistant license
- Certification by the NCCPA (National Commission on certification of Physician Assistants).
- 1+ year Emergency medicine experience preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certification
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 -$180,000 per year.
