Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Construction Superintendent to oversee commercial and multi-residential construction projects throughout Iowa. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, organizational, and technical skills, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a full-time, on-site position with a competitive salary, benefits, and relocation assistance.
Key Responsibilities: - Project Management:
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for commercial and multi-residential projects.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Quality Control:
- Oversee work to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and resolve construction issues promptly.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality construction that meets or exceeds client expectations.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor on-site personnel, including subcontractors and labor crews.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Hold daily and weekly site meetings to align team objectives and address any challenges.
- Safety Management:
- Enforce compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and provide corrective measures as necessary.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, schedules, and cost tracking.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress and potential risks.
- Manage change orders and communicate any adjustments to stakeholders.
Qualifications: - Proven experience (3+ years) as a Superintendent in commercial and multi-residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
