One of our clients in Los Angeles area is looking for a Project Manager with the following skills and experience:

MUST HAVE : BROKER DEALER/ WEALTH MANAGEMENT / MERGER & ACQUSITION (M&A) FIXED INCOME INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 10+ years' experience as a Program Manager, leading programs through the full life cycle
  • 2+ years' experience managing or playing a major role in corporate programs (including systems projects) preferred
  • 5+ years business experience required, experience in broker-dealer or investment firm strongly preferred
  • Experience building and managing program forecasts and budgets
  • Experience working on and managing multiple projects at a time of varying size (team members and budget)
  • Program resource plan knowledge required (i.e. figure out what resources are needed to get the job done and then work
  • with the appropriate managers to secure the resources)
  • Strong leadership skills; manage projects while driving the organization towards a successful implementation or launch
  • At the highest end of the maturity curve in terms of knowledge, abilities, skills and experience. Correspondingly, assigned tasks of highest complexity and this in turn influences how success is measured.


Looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 7 years' applicable experience, including managing various projects of increasing responsibility, a Bachelor's or Master's degree or relevant work experience.
  • PMI or PMP certification or equivalent preferred
  • Advanced MS Office skills: Project, Vision, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint
  • Familiarity with M&A tools including Virtual Data Rooms is a plus.
  • Has the ability to work multi-task and manage tight deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Defines the overall strategy and objectives for a group of projects to compile a program
  • Communicates the program strategy and objectives to the project team resources and ensures that individual project goals continually align with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Links and sequences individual projects within a program considering their inter-dependencies.
  • Identifies activities common to the component projects to ensure that project teams do not duplicate work efforts across projects within the program.
  • Coordinates multiple work streams to include team members from various disciplines to meet the overarching business goals and objectives of the program.
  • Consolidates and reports accomplishments, milestones, risks, issues, decisions from individual projects at the program level to Project Sponsors / Steering Committee.
  • Establishes appropriate mechanism and tools for measuring the benefits of the program.
