Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Under-served, Community Health - Boston Area
A non-profit, multicultural, community health center 30 minutes North of Boston and is the largest provider of primary care, behavioral health, eye care, and dental services in one of the most medically underserved communities in Massachusetts is seeking part or full time outpatient psychiatric nurse practitioners to join their behavioral healthcare team. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide direct clinical service to patients, provide clinical supervision to interns and staff, be involved in quality improvement activities, other administrative activities, and help to develop programming as needed by the director of behavioral health. These services include psychiatric evaluations, consultation, and treatment of referred patients. Prescribing medications and follow-up medication visits. Provision of psychotherapy; participation in mental health in-take conferences and case presentations. Consultation and evaluation of patients regarding crisis situations and admission to a psychiatric mental health and/or substance abuse inpatient unit. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will take a team-oriented approach to patient care and fully participate in integrating behavioral health care with primary care.
