Overview: As a Sales Vice President, you will be a key member of an experienced team within Securian's Affinity Solutions Division and be primarily focused on growing our Financial Institution business.
The key responsibilities of this role will be driving new sales results and achieving sales goal in partnership with a defined group of distribution partners, representing our comprehensive suite of financial institution products and services: credit insurance, debt protection, accidental death & dismemberment insurance and lending documents.
This is a high-profile position that involves managing relationships with key distribution partners, decision makers and internal operations teams to drive successful outcomes and drive business growth.
Responsibilities include but not limited to: - Lead the Affinity Solutions sales efforts with a defined group of distribution partners in the financial institution market by establishing and executing an effective growth and distribution business plans.
- Develop strong relationships with existing distribution partners by helping them build their business through value-added sales strategies.
- Identify target prospects and work with distribution partners to successfully solicit new Securian business.
- Conduct frequent sales activities (e.g., client needs analysis, Securian overview, product briefings,) and product training for existing and prospective distribution partners.
- Collaborate with internal Securian associates to articulate client and distributor needs and direct the effective and timely completion of Securian product proposals and marketing plans.
- Conduct joint sales presentations with distribution partners. Serve as Securian product and service expert, supporting distributor client sales.
- Work closely with internal sales support resources to promote the Securian brand message and support the development of consistent and effective sales promotion materials.
- Assist marketing and product development in identifying customer, client, and distributor needs.
- Manage travel and expense budgets effectively.
Qualifications: - 3 + years of sales experience focused on driving new sales and meeting sales goal.
- Ability to travel independently. Travel ranging from 60 - 75% and schedules fluctuate depending on business needs.
- Strong initiative and leadership in building relationships, identifying issues and working proactively to meet client and business needs.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in an ever-changing environment.
- Demonstrated independence, as well as the ability to work in a team environment to facilitate use of Home Office resources to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint for daily job functions and reporting and presentation responsibilities.

The estimated base pay range for this job is $60K - $115K. Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. This job may also be eligible for a performance-based incentive program.
