Job Description Associate Attorney- Business & Commercial Litigation- Hybrid - Irvine Compensation: $125,000 - $165,000 base salary, plus $2,000 quarterly bonuses for meeting billable targetsBenefits: Medical, dental, two weeks paid vacation, nine paid holidays, six sick days, covered parking About the RoleJoin a well-established boutique law firm in Irvine, CA, as an Associate Attorney specializing in business and commercial litigation, with a secondary focus on family law cases involving business disputes. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on trial experience, supported by mentorship in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in all phases of litigation, including trial preparation, depositions, discovery, court appearances, and legal writing.Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.Conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw or Lexis.Handle cases involving family-business disputes in collaboration with the team.Build strong relationships with clients while delivering high-quality legal service. QualificationsLicensed to practice law in California.J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.Minimum 1+ years of experience in litigation, including pre-trial stages.Proven ability to prepare pleadings, motions, and make court appearances.Experience in discovery processes, including depositions.Strong legal writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Family law experience and trial preparation are pluses. The practice focuses on both plaintiff and defense work, with a primary emphasis on defense.
