Job Description Associate Attorney (General Liability/Professional Liability) A well-established and dynamic law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate for its general liability/professional liability practice group in downtown Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have experience representing design professionals and miscellaneous professionals, with strong writing and oral advocacy skills and significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice. We are looking for a self-starter with strong organizational skills who is ready to hit the ground running while managing multiple clients. ResponsibilitiesAssist clients in resolving legal conflicts and determine the best course of actionRepresent clients in court hearings and legal proceedings, providing effective legal adviceDraft and prepare legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreementsConduct legal research and collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategiesMaintain organized case files to ensure efficient case handling and accessibility for the legal team QualificationsCompletion of a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolSuccessful completion of the bar exam and membership in good standing with the ABAEffective communication and problem-solving skills for working with all levels of staff and clientsAbility to collaborate with partners and attorneys to meet client needs and grow the practice1,850 annual billable hour target CompensationSalary range: $130,000 - $190,000, depending on experience level (2-4 years, 5-7 years, or 8+ years) Why Join Us?Collaborative and client-focused firm cultureOpportunities for professional growth and developmentWork with a supportive team on impactful legal matters All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
