Location: New York, NY (Midtown)

Compensation: $62k-$74k (dependent on experience) + OT

Work Setting: Onsite, Monday - Friday


Overview:

A leading financial services firm is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support its HR functions. This role is critical in managing employee data throughout the entire lifecycle, ensuring smooth onboarding processes, maintaining employee records, and coordinating with external vendors. You will also assist with reporting and data analysis to enhance operational efficiency.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Employee Data Management: Maintain and update HR data, ensuring accuracy and timely retrieval.
  • Onboarding & Documentation: Oversee the onboarding process for contractors, including preparing agreements, NDAs, and initiating background checks.
  • Auditing & Process Improvement: Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and propose process enhancements.
  • Payroll & Records: Process payroll files, timesheets, benefits uploads, and prepare employment verifications.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Manage contracts for non-employees and monitor expiration dates for necessary extensions.
  • Invoice Processing: Handle invoices from staffing agencies managing contractors.
  • HR Reporting: Collaborate with the People Analytics team to generate reports using Workday and Excel.
  • HR Communication: Present updates and process improvements to internal teams.


What We're Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • HR Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with HR systems (Workday preferred) and experience with data entry and auditing.
  • Data & Analysis Skills: Comfortable with Excel and basic data analysis.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
  • Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Confidentiality: Experience handling sensitive employee data with discretion.
  • Adaptability: Able to manage multiple priorities and shift focus as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Tableau for reporting.
  • Records management experience (Spring CM or similar tools).
  • Contract management and invoice processing knowledge.
