Essential Responsibilities/Duties

  • Interprets blueprints/drawings and general instructions for machinery and/or equipment specification and repair
  • Repairs and maintains electronic production equipment meeting organization standards
  • Troubleshoot and repair mixers, blenders, extruders, grinders and all other production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair any facet of plumbing as needed
  • Troubleshoot and repair vacuum systems, heating and air conditioning and boilers
  • Ensure minimum equipment downtime
  • Performs preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery
  • Recommends equipment modifications for upgrades to supervisor
  • Completes appropriate forms to request parts, equipment and supplies for specified project(s)
  • Follows work orders to determine scheduled repairs and capital improvements
  • Ensures all safety and environmental policies/procedures are consistently demonstrated
  • Participates in decisions for discontinuing production operations in matters related to emergency repair of equipment


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Technical Training in related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations
  • HVAC and electrical certification preferred


Specific Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Proven knowledge of extruders, belts, gears, chillers, hoppers, rollers, industrial mixers, blenders, grinders, and powered industrial trucks
  • Knowledge of ISO/TS
