Job Details This position is critical in our operation as we service our customers with machine safeguarding control systems. Consisting of initial system designs, creation of schematics, control panel assembly in shop and installations at customer sites. The successful candidate will oversee the electrical controls department, lead projects as well as be hands- on.
Responsibilities:
- Support the organization with projects related to electrical engineering
- Design panels, control systems and schematics
- Oversee panel assembly and testing
- Develop logic and complete programming of PLC’s and devices.
- Lead installations, field wiring, verification, and troubleshooting
- Support field installations/start-ups – customer service
- Read and follow work procedures
- Projects will be shop and field work
- On-Job training will be provided as necessary
Skills and Requirements:
- Electrical/Mechatronics degree or equivalent industrial experience
- 5+ years electrical/maintenance experience
- Electrical machine control and safety device knowledge and experience
- Control panel design/assembly
- PLC and device programming experience
- Field experience – customer service
- Understanding of conduit installation
- Use of hand and power tools, measuring devices and hand tools
- Ability to read drawings and schematics
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Control Software
- Able to lift 50 Lbs.
- Must wear applicable PPE (steel toe shoes, eye and hearing protection, etc..)
- Valid driver license
- Travel will be required up to 25-40%, can be same day or overnight, typically only during the week
