As a safety net hospital, MetroHealth plays an essential role in the region, caring for anyone and everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.nnPrimary Patient Population:nn· Underserved population in the Greater Cleveland areann· Trauma/Emergency Patientsnn· Stroke Patientsnn· Cancer Patientsnn· Orthopedics, Podiatry, Neurology, PM&R, and more.nn· Operating Room & Pain Management (Parma & Brecksville only)nn· Bone Densitometry (Parma Only)nnPrimary skills utilized/learned:nn· Knowledge of human anatomy and physiologynn· IV Startsnn· Produces quality CT/XR images in a variety of settingsnn· Patient scheduling and coordination for inpatients and outpatientsnn· Educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and examination to maintain basic understanding and comfort.nn· On the spot critical thinkingnn· Effective communication skillsnn· Functions well under stress and with minimal supervisionnn· Works well both independently and as part of the CT/XR TeamnnPersonnel Multi-Modality Tech will work with:nn· The CT/XR staff work closely with Nurses, Physicians, Respiratory Therapists and other care team members throughout the hospital to provide the best care possible for all MetroHealth patients.nnAwards or Recognitions the unit has received:nn· All CT scanners are ACR Accreditednno Early life cycle CT and X-Ray equipment at Brecksville, Cleveland Heights, and Parmann· All CT/XR Technologists credentialed through ARRTnn· Performs a variety of technical procedures utilizing CT (Computed Tomography) & X-Ray scanning equipment in the diagnosis of diseases in humans.nn· Functions in a multi-purpose role depending on the needs of the patients and the department, and in line with The MetroHealth System approved policies and procedures in accordance with specific governing ODH regulations.nnQualifications:nnRequired:nn· Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Programnn· Registered Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)nn· ARRT CT credential or obtains within one year of employment.nn· Valid Ohio Radiographer License (ODH)nn· American Heart Association BLS Certification or obtains within the standard probationary period.nnPreferred:nn· One-year related experience, as well as advanced certification through the ARRT in CT.nnPhysical Requirements:nn· May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.nn· May need to lift, pull or push over 50 lbs.nn· May need to sit or stand for extended periods.nn· See in the normal visual range with or without correction.nn· Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
