Our client is seeking an Avionics Technician to join their avionics team located in Boise, Idaho. This FAA part 135 repair station is one of the most reputable stations in the mountain west, where quality, safety and work/life balance are paramount.
Description : Must be experienced in Avionics systems testing, troubleshooting, repair, and installation as well as aircraft wiring utilizing various hand tools, test equipment, and technical reference material including Current FAA regulations, equipment manufacturer’s installation instructions, company instructions as required in accordance with industry-approved standards in a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete RVSM, 91.411 and 91.413 Inspections.
- Perform Avionics Systems wire harness fabrication and installation including Marking, routing, tying, lacing, termination of wiring and connectors with industry related hand tools to accessories such as relays, circuit breakers, connectors, and switches.
- Perform continuity checks of wiring and systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts and wiring on Avionics and aircraft systems.
- Disassembly/reassembly of the aircraft interior, instrument panels and avionics equipment bays prior to and/or following the installation of wiring and/or repair of avionics systems using proper handling and storage techniques.
- Properly document all removal and installation of aircraft parts and accessories according to company procedures.
- Demonstrate an understanding of company work order procedures and properly document work using appropriate accepted/approved data references.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Four years Avionics or electronics related experience required
- Two years minimum avionics installation experience preferred
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Naturalized U.S. Citizen
- Must pass a DOT/FAA Pre-employment Drug Screen
- Must clear a 10-year background check with no felonies
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Physical requirements : Must be able to routinely lift 50 lbs., read small print, identify colors, tolerate repetitive motion, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, sitting, and perform work in confined spaces and heights above four feet. Tolerate products/materials associated with component maintenance.
