Illinois Bone and Joint, LLC is currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work in a dynamic and collaborative outpatient environment at our Lake Barrington location.

Responsibilities - Carries out treatment plans established by the physical therapist including progression of patient to attain functional goals as deemed appropriate by patient status and normal progression.
- Provide exceptional care for patients in an outpatient orthopedic clinical setting.
- Written documentation on patient status per compliance guidelines of IBJI Rehab.
- Periodic written communication to physicians through progress notes and discharges after consulting with the supervising PT regarding assessment and plan, and co-signed by PT
- Frequent communication with supervising PT regarding appropriate patient progression, discharge and patient follow up.
- Supervising Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed.
- Compliance with daily paperwork which includes documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP, etc).
- Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practices.
- Maintains active state license by earning appropriate CEU's through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunities.
- Develops positive relationships with physical therapists and physician teams at IBJI.
- Takes an active role in the patient medical team by facilitating relationships with PT's, MD's and case managers as appropriately directed by supervising PT.
- Participates in IBJI sponsored programs including mentoring, clinical educator, special interest groups, community outreach, etc.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Holds current license to practice in Illinois.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to lift greater than 25 pounds
- Demonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushing
- Ability to be stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutes
- Ability to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day
Salary Description
55,000 - 70,000 Full Time Annually
