Industrial Sewer - $16 per hour, $18 DOE
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Job Description: As an Industrial Sewer, you will play a pivotal role in the setup and operation of industrial sewing machines, ensuring precision and quality in the production process. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $16, with an increase to $18 based on experience.
Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation:
   
   • Sew materials using industrial sewing machines.
   • Follow production samples, product guides, and observe stitching to detect defects.
   • Inspect finished products for quality control.
   • Make minor machine adjustments.
   • Perform routine machine maintenance.
2. Safety and Housekeeping:
   
   • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
   • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
   • Clean and sanitize the work area.
3. Continuous Improvement:
   
   • Promote and contribute to a continuous improvement culture.
4. Additional Duties:
   
   • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Ability to read, write, and understand detailed instructions communicated in English.
3. Prior industrial sewing experience is preferred.
4. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds is required.

Working Conditions: Enjoy a small, climate-controlled work environment while sewing automotive interior pieces. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to eye safety glasses and hearing protection.
