What will your role be?

Scalian is seeking a detail-oriented Production Planner to support and coordinate the planning process across production, engineering, and supply chain teams. In this role, you will ensure seamless integration of production schedules, material requirements, and resource allocation, while leveraging Gantt charts and Microsoft Office tools to track and manage project timelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the continuous improvement of operations.


Activities:

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, planning, and procurement teams to develop and maintain accurate production schedules
  • Monitor and track the availability of materials, resources, and equipment, ensuring alignment with production timelines.
  • Use Gantt charts and other planning tools to create and update schedules, track progress, and adjust plans as needed
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to resolve any issues that may impact the schedule or resource availability
  • Review and analyze demand forecasts to ensure material and resource availability aligns with production needs
  • Work closely with buyers to ensure timely procurement of materials and components to meet production requirements
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on planning progress and resource utilization
  • Continuously review processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce lead times


What skills and qualifications are we looking for?

  • 3-5 years of experience in planning, preferably in a manufacturing, production, or supply chain environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Project, PowerPoint) or Primavera M6 and Gantt chart software
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, procurement, and supply chain
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in demand forecasting and material planning is a plus
  • Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management processes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
  • The ideal candidate would reside in the Los Angeles area
