The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technician performs diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Inserts catheters into the blood vessels and heart to allow x-rays, angiograms, and other recordings to be taken and determine heart structure and function. Schedules and observes time-management techniques according to departmental productivity and efficiency standards while observing a quality patient care experience. Adheres to the infection control and ALARA guidelines as related to the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
Education: Completion of an accedited radiology technology program is required. ARRT Certification is required. Experience is preferred.
