The Building Maintenance Master Electrician is a critical member of the Resort Operations team. Under the general supervision of the Building Maintenance Department, the Master Electrician will take the lead role in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and replacing the Resort’s lighting and electrical systems. The Electrician must also perform general maintenance tasks for the Resort’s unique infrastructure as part of a team.nnJob Specifications:nnExpected Pay Range: $23.00 - $36.00 / hournnShift & Schedule Availability: Full TimennSkill Level: AdvancednnJob Responsibilities:nnProvide preventative and predictive maintenance of electrical systems, conduct daily rounds and readings.nnLead successful installation and repair of electrical systems and wiring including but not limited to: power distribution systems, LED lighting systems, control systems, control panels, components of machinery and equipment, data and low voltage systems.nnComplete daily work orders as assigned and update team with daily reports outlining progress and new issues.nnIdentify when and external contractor/vendor is needed and work in collaboration with contractor/vendor to complete work.nnDevelop and maintain inventories of electrical materials.nnPerform maintenance job functions as needed or directed, including but not limited to basic repairs of Resort’s MEP infrastructure, equipment and utilities.nnParticipate in winterization and spring start-ups on applicable systems.nnPlan, schedule, and coordinate daily and future workload; develop scope, options, and budgets for tasks and projects.nnRequisition materials, parts, tools equipment and services needed for work assignments; order and pick up materials and supplies from outside vendors as appropriate; prepare cost estimates for jobs.nnConfer with managerial and technical personnel, other departments, and contractors in order to resolve problems and to coordinate activities.nnIdentify cost saving opportunities and plan for system updates and efficiency improvements.nnTroubleshoot problems and provide technical assistance to staff in solving maintenance, mechanical and repair problems.nnInspect work in progress and upon completion ensure that work complies with applicable codes and regulations.nnRead diagrams, blueprints, specifications and manuals for installations and repairs.nnPrepare a variety of correspondence, procedures and periodic and special reports of work performed.nnUse standard office equipment including a computer in the course of worknnDrive company vehicles to work sites and attend meetings.nnOther duties as assignednnJob Requirements:nnHigh School graduate or equivalent.nnValid State of Vermont Master Electrician license required.nn10 years minimum hands-on commercial or industrial electrical experience.nnDemonstrated ability to perform a wide variety of maintenance and operational tasks.nnAbility to troubleshoot controls and electrical systems with amp meters, voltmeters, tracers and recording devices.nnAbility to trouble-shoot variable frequency drive (VFD) devices and controls.nnThorough understanding of low voltage and high voltage systems.nnThorough understanding of single phase and three phase AC circuits.nnStrong understanding of Vermont adopted electrical codes including NFPA 70EnnKnowledge of fire alarm systems and operationnnKnowledgeable in fire safety practices and aware of general liability exposures in a public facilities environment.nnAbility to read electrical schematics, electrical prints, wiring diagrams and nameplates.nnExtensive technical knowledge of the installation, repair and maintenance of facility systems.nnAbility to identify problems and effectively manage/troubleshoot issues in a timely fashion.nnMust be able to work individually/unsupervised as well as part of teamnnMust possess willingness to assist with the overall needs of the department and resort.nnAbility to communicate (spoken and written) effectively and clearly to customers and all levels of staff.nnTrain and engage with other team members to develop their skills and your leadership experience.nnBasic computer skills in programs necessary to accomplish assigned duties.nnLead with safety and lead by example – identify and correct safety improvement opportunities.nnMaintain a professional appearance and deliver exceptional guest service.nnMust be able to work a flexible schedule with seasonal weekend, night, and holiday requirementsnnMust be comfortable working outside in extreme weather conditionsnnJob requires standing for long periods of time, frequent walking, reaching, climbing and good balance, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.nnMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, confined spaces, ladders (up to 40’), utility spaces, remote locations, and use resort transportation (ride lifts, groomer, ATV/UTV)nnValid US Driver's License – ability to drive various company vehiclesnnKnowledge of proper use of power tools, hand tools and other industry equipmentnnThe expected pay range is $23.00 - $36.00.
