In this role you will supervise, coordinate, and perform the installation and repair of bus duct systems at power generating facilities in the US and abroad.nnESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESnnSupervise, coordinate, and perform field testing; troubleshoot and repair; oversee installations and prepare reports of completed work and problems encounterednnCoordinate equipment, supplies and travel arrangementsnnInterface with customers and supervising subcontractorsnnPerform repair work, hi-pot electrical tests and submit reportsnnConduct high voltage electrical tests of field installed GIL in accordance with standard procedures and/or special nonstandard instructions; maintain records of all tests performednnOperate and check RIV measuring instrumentation requiring operation of SF6 gas handling systems and careful use of sensitive SF6 leak detectorsnnMaintain test equipment and ensure always in calibration; maintain clean, neat and orderly work areasnnQUALIFICATIONSnnSkills: Strong written/verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.nnTravel: Must be willing to travel on short notice and may be required to stay for extended periods of time.nnEquipment Used: Basic hand tools and measuring devices. Various computer programs.nnCertifications : V ocational / technical degree in electricity or equivalent helpful.nnEducation/Experience: High school diploma or equivalency (GED) preferred. Good knowledge of basic mathematics, algebra, geometry, statistics and their applications and business accounting principles are a plus.nnAttendance Requirement: Requires regular attendance during scheduled shift and overtime when required. Willingness to work off shift, i.e., 2nd or 3rd shift.nnPhysical Demands: Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping/using hands/reaching.
