Job Description
Scope
We are looking for a self-driven engineer to help maintain and support our Windows Server hosted environment. Our I.T. Services engineers work with our business platform teams to deliver cross-cutting cloud management capabilities. The team is made up of diverse technical backgrounds, and the responsibilities provide an opportunity for a variety of challenges that require Windows engineers to work on software and systems challenges. The ideal candidate should have a background in Windows server hosting with a desire to learn and grow.
Reporting and Working Relationships
Reports to a Director. No direct reports. Performs work with a high degree of latitude.
Primary Responsibilities

Operational Support:
Installation/configuration, operation, maintenance and patching of systems software and related infrastructure for our Microsoft Windows platform. Support AD/DNS, IIS, Domain and encryption security protocols including certificate management. Guide security audits and remediate findings for Windows server. Support other operational tasks as needed to ensure secure and reliable technology platforms.

Project Support:
Planning, designing, and supporting Windows Server platforms across a cloud-based environment. Support the I.T. Services and business platform technologist as needed. Participate in technical research and development to enable continued innovation within the infrastructure. Ensure that operating systems, software systems and related procedures comply with internal and external standards.

Problem Solving:
Work to resolve service interruptions and participate in root cause analysis during post-mortems. Maintain the ability to quickly identify trends, and issues, recommend workable solutions. Support our problem management practice post incident. Bring together technical, procedural, and financial data to reduce toil and support recommendations.
Qualifications
· Windows server administration for web and applications hosted in multiple cloud-based environments
· Solid understanding and experience with one of the following clouds (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services)
· Enterprise DNS Management and Active Directory. Includes operating system upgrades, and operational activities related to ongoing support of DNS and AD
· IIS Administration, inclusive of troubleshooting IIS applications across multiple business platforms
· Experience working with domain and SSL certificate management
· Ability to interpret security requirements and apply them to infrastructure or software systems
· Ability to triage, execute root cause analysis, and be decisive under pressure
· Desire to reduce technical inefficiencies and a commitment to reducing toil
· Proficient communication skills with an ability to reach both technical and non-technical audience
· Experience with incident management and problem management practices and processes is a plus.
Education
· Bachelor's degree in technology related field and 3-6 years’ experience in the qualified areas above.
