A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Title Examiner to obtain title examination materials, review documents, and create run sheets. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of real estate transactions and how real property is described. Title experience is a must.

Salary + Additional Benefits:

• $50,000-$70,000

Location: Central Houston, TX

Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

• Obtain and review title examination materials from title plants and/or county records
• Assemble chain of titles that includes deeds, probate or heirship, liens and involuntary liens against owner.
• Create run sheets containing legal descriptions for land assessed.
• Provide information regarding the property owners, filed liens, and the legal description of the property assessed under a delinquent tax account
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of title examining experience is required
• Strong understanding of legal documents
• Knowledge of real estate transactions, ownership of real property, and experience using title plants and courthouse records.
• Strong MS Office skills
• Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills are a must
