SummarynnJob DescriptionnnLOCATION: Lancaster General Hospital in Lancaster, PAnnSIGN-ON BONUS: Up to $5000.00 (prorated based on FTE) with 2 year commitment. External candidates only.nnSCHEDULE: Part time (20 hours per week/.5 FTE), evenings, nights as needed between the hours of 2pm-7am. Every other weekend rotation. Two-three holidays per year. On-call rotation.nnPOSITION SUMMARY:nnPerforms all routine diagnostic radiographic procedures through proper patient positioning, technique selection, application of immobilization and radiation protection devices.nnESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:nnPerforms all routine diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through patient positioning, technique selection, administration of contrast media and application of immobilization and radiation protection devices as established by LG protocols, policies and procedures.nnReceives requests, checking for special instructions from the requesting physicians. Consults with Radiologists as necessary.nnGreets patients--confirming their identifications performing the correct procedures as directed and completely explaining the procedure to patient and family as directed.nnOperates and enters information through the hospital computer system. Documents required information and patient history in the electronic medical record. Documents other information as required.nnCompletes examination, consultation, and billing procedures as required. Performs POC testing, Universal Protocol and other paperwork as applicable.nnAccurately and appropriately utilizes all computer related equipment, such as the electronic health record, email and the intranet.nnMay require travel to various site locations.nnSECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:nnPerforms visual preventive safety inspections. Completes warm-up procedures for each radiographic room/equipment as assigned. Records quality control activities. Reports equipment conditions to immediate leadership or appropriate personnel.nnCompliance with OSHA and other mandated safety procedures or regulations.nnMaintains necessary inventory supplies for assigned workstation, rotating stock in an orderly fashion and eliminating outdated items.nnParticipates in the clinical education of Radiology students as required.nnParticipates in the on-call responsibilities for this position as required.nnOther duties as assigned.nnJOB REQUIREMENTSnnMINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:nnGraduate of an AMA approved Radiological Technology School.nnCertification in Radiological Technology, issued by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists: within eighteen (18) months of placement in position if hired/placed prior to 1/01/2024; within twelve (12) months of placement in position if hired/placed as of January 1, 2024.nnCPR certification is required.nnValid driver's license may be required (based upon position assignment).nnPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:nnTwo (2) years of clinical experience beyond training.nnDisclaimer: This job description is not intended and should not be construed to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with the job.
