Job Description Onin Staffing is seeking a PE Licensed Electrical Engineer for a manufacturing company in the Bessemer area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineers, Revit/CAD operators, and Production staff to complete projects on schedule.
- Ensure electrical designs meet specifications and code requirements.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Review and refine designs using Revit/CAD software.
- Maintain attention to detail, accuracy, and strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and staff.
- Hands-on electrical experience is a plus.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support Production.
Work Experience Requirements:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineering (PE) License in Alabama
- 4+ years of electrical design experience
- Proficiency in designing and troubleshooting both simple and complex electrical systems
- Expertise in industrial/commercial electrical design for AC/DC systems supporting protective relays and/or communication equipment
- Knowledge of protective relaying schematics and experience with control building or communication shelter design
- Ability to interpret project specifications and deliver compliant design packages, including accurate bills of materials and technical drawings
- Skilled in performing design quality reviews with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience drafting electrical designs
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet project deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team collaboration
