In this position, you are responsible for delivery and set-up of equipment at the delivery address. You will also educate the patient and/or caregiver on the safe use and maintenance of the delivered item.Responsibilities:Delivers and educates patients on the safe use and maintenance of respiratory and HME equipment in the home or office settingAdheres to company policies and procedures in regards to using personnel protective safety equipment and servicesAssists in resolving customer equipment problems under emergency conditionsAssists with implementation of quality improvement programs to meet company and JCAHO standardsAssumes on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policyCommunicates to supervisor any vehicle problems or conditions which would otherwise compromise the vehicle's safe operationsCompletes shipping papers when transporting hazardous materials in accordance to company policy and proceduresCompletes written patient visit reports following setup and follow-up visits per company policyDevelops and maintains working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company; and all applicable governmental regulationsDevelops basic reimbursement knowledge, completely documents all informationDevelops technical knowledge, as appropriate, of the HME or respiratory productsMaintains assigned company vehicle in a clean and safe working conditionMaintains delivery activity databaseMaintains home oxygen systems in patients' homes per company policyManages territory to reach service goals and delivers equipment and oxygen as required in accordance with industry standards and applicable federal, state and local governmental regulationsPrepares and maintains written company records to include invoices, work orders, manifests and logsProcesses all orders and required paperwork in a timely and accurate mannerReports equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policiesTravel via company vehicle required to patient's homes for set-ups and reoccurring deliveryQualifications: Background investigationDrug screenValid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving recordHigh school diploma or GED equivalent, requiredExperience with medical equipment, preferredOne year of related work experience, preferredMedical terminology, preferredEffectively communicate in English; both oral and writtenSuccessfully demonstrates loading, unloading and proper tie down procedures as per company policy of transported cargoUnderstands use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and suppliesLift and carry office equipment at timesRequires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listeningRequires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperworkRequires lifting (minimum of 65 pounds) and transporting of patient equipmentRequires contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogensRequires driving a company vehicle for the majority of the workdayRequired to comply with Respiratory Protection & N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy\Medical Evaluation and Fit Testing Compliance in a timely manner (Annual Recertification)Keep face clean-shaven to ensure N95 Mask face-seal protection per OSHA guidelinesADA/EOEIND123#LI-SRG11
