Occupational Therapist Branchburg NJ
We are seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapist to join our team in Somerset County NJ. We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to improve our patients’ quality of life through accurate, timely and effective diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal system disorders. Ideally, the incoming Occupational Therapist has strong leadership and communication skills and must feel comfortable practicing occupational therapy in an interdisciplinary health care environment. We are seeking an OT who has 1-3 years of experience, but motivated recent graduates will be considered.

Duties:
  • Assess and accurately diagnose health issues/needs of new and returning patients.
  • Reduce pain and restore healthy function within the scope and standard of occupational therapy care.
  • Fully engage patients in their recovery process.
  • Seamlessly co-manage patient care with the provider team.
  • Contribute to collaborative care model with the provider team.
  • Maintain state-of-the-art competence as a physical therapist.
  • Diagnose health problems through review of patient medical history and information provided during observational questions and examination.
  • Join with and engage patients’ commitment and participation in their treatment plan and return to musculoskeletal health.
  • Test and measure patient’s strength, motor development and function, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency and record data.
  • Plan, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
  • Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
  • Maintain complete records for each patient of each encounter.
  • Manage each patient case in collaboration with provider colleagues.
  • Administer and/or oversee manual exercises, massage and/or traction to help relieve pain, increase the patient’s strength, and decrease or prevent deformity and crippling.
  • Direct and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehab Aides, assessing their competence, delegating specific tasks, and establishing channels of communication.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
  • Current State of New Jersey Occupational Therapy license.
  • 1-3 years of experience, but motivated recent graduates will be considered.
Compensation:
  • $75K-$100K depending on experience plus bonus with provider structure
Schedule:
  • Monday -Friday with ½ days on Tues/Thursday (8-1)
