Field Service Technician

Currently hiring a Field Service Technician in the Frankfort, IL area. Hiring immediately.

Shift : 1st shift. Monday - Friday (7AM-3:30PM)
n
Job Description:
n

Primary responsibility will be building machines and troubleshooting customers' machinery that comes in so that it can be adjusted.
n n- n
Wire panels, reading electrical prints(expert level- European AutoCat prints)
n n- n
Utilizing blueprints to build customized machines
n n- n
Wiring electrical panels, and troubleshooting machinery through Allen Bradley PLC's
n n- n
Will be taught the machines that they are building
n n- n
Communicating with customers in regards to their machines and providing them with technical assistance
n n- n
Use of various machine operation, and maintenance manuals, drawings, blueprints, and schematics to troubleshoot improperly functioning mechanical equipment and get them back to full operation
n n- n
Follow-up coordination of parts, documents, etc. resulting from service calls, emails and field trips
n n- n
Domestic travel to customer locations which will be 4-6 days a month
n n- n
Will be acting as a contact and taking service calls, or emails or making visits to the customer
n n

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
n
n- n
Experience troubleshooting machinery.
n n- n
Experience with machine rebuilds/assembly.
n n- n
Proficiency in wiring electrical panels.
n n- n
Knowledge of PLCs.
n n- n
A good driving record and a valid passport.
n n- n
Experience in GMP or food industry.
n n- n
Training in electrical/electronics is beneficial.
n n
n
Open to seeing candidates with an electrical/electronics degree
n
Work Environment
n
This role involves 20-30% domestic travel, including 4-6 days a month with one overnight stay and ten week-long projects per year. The work environment is clean, well-maintained, and not overly loud.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00
