Job Description
Job Title: CT/X-Ray Technologist
Job Specialty: Multi-Modality Radiology
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Experience: Minimum of 2 years current CT/X-Ray experience, with at least 6 months of previous travel experience required.
License: State Licenses Required
Certifications: Required
Must-Have:
- Experience with Meditech Expanse preferred.
- Willingness to consider other duties within scope during low census.
- Personal vehicle for transportation.
Job Description:
- Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and critical thinking.
- Apply appropriate skills to facilitate diagnoses through CT and X-Ray.
- May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager.
- Ensure proper care of clients in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- May assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Manager or Director.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and Tiger Text format.
- Practice infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.
- Exhibit ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACs applications.
- Complete annual mandatory education including blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
- Maintain department competencies as required.
- Perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks, including IV insertion and injections.
- Note that travelers who reside within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
- Include at least two specific interview dates/times of availability for the interview in the profile upload.
- Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at the upload. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.
