Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to physician orders.
• Provide physician-ordered treatments including:
• Nutrition via feeding tubes.
• Tracheostomy care.
• Nasal, oral, and/or endotracheal suctioning.
• Ventilation care.
• Assessment and treatment of seizures.

Qualifications Required

• Active LPN license in Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification (completed in-person).
• Experience with G-tubes, tracheostomy, and ventilatory care, or a willingness to learn.
• Negative Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test (PPD) or TB Blood Test (QF).
• Complete a 2-hour DOEA approved course in Alzheimer’s training (free of charge if needed).
• Watch a 1-hour DOEA Alzheimer’s video (available for free on the DOEA website).
