The qualified candidate may work in the Westminster, MD or Mechanicsburg, PA branch locations. The hours of operation are typically, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after 6 months of successful employment. This is a great opportunity to make a difference in agriculture and rural communities.nnIn this role, you'll handle a variety of administrative tasks and accounting responsibilities, including: supporting cash management, processing Accounts Payable, fixed asset management, journal entry preparation, and reconciliations. You'll ensure transactions are accurately and promptly posted to various systems and take on additional duties as needed.nnAreas of Responsibility Include:nnProcess may include:nnAdministrative tasksnAccounts PayablenCash ManagementnGFX wire responsibilitiesnFixed Asset ManagementnnJournal Entry Processing and Account Reconciliations:nnProcessing of routine to basic or moderate general ledger transactions, while ensuring appropriate documentation and compliance with proceduresnProperly and timely prepares assigned account reconciliationsnnOther duties as assigned by managementnnEducationnnAssociate's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field.nnExperiencennGenerally, zero to three years of accounting experience.nnPreferred SkillsnnPossess sufficient communications skills, both written and oral to represent the Association in a professional manner.nAbility to initiate, organize, and prioritize work required.nBasic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).nExcellent problem solving and decision-making skills.nMust possess basic analytical skills that are inherently necessary in an accounting/financial environment.nMust possess problem-solving skills necessary to solve routine accounting problems and make routine decisions.nAdaptable and flexible to a changing work environment.nAbility to travel to/from other branch offices, customer meetings, etc., as deemed necessary.nRegular, predictable, and reliable attendance is required.nnWho are we?nnHorizon Farm Credit is an expert in agriculture, with over 100 years of serving rural America.
