Job Description:
Seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon to provide locum tenens coverage for a full-time clinical practice in Allentown, PA. The position will involve both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities at the Level 1 Trauma Center the Level 2 Trauma Center nearby. The position is scheduled for 9 to 12 months, with rotating on-call duties as part of a 1-in-5 rotation at the Level 1 trauma center and a 1-in-3 rotation at the level 2 trauma center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inpatient Duties:
- Provide full-time clinical care, including surgery, patient assessments, and management of complex neurosurgical cases.
- Participate in meetings, grand rounds, and committees.
- Perform and supervise neurosurgical procedures as outlined in the Delineation of Neurological Surgery Privileges.
- Supervise and educate medical trainees, residents, fellows, and other learners. Complete any associated administrative tasks as assigned by the Chair or Division Chief.
- Outpatient Duties:
- Care for outpatient neurosurgery cases (specifics TBD).
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
- Active Pennsylvania Medical License required
- EPIC experience preferred.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and interact with medical trainees.
Credentialing & Requirements:
- Credentialing Process: May take up to 90 days for candidates with an active PA license.
