Job Description - Hematologic Oncologist (Physician)
Location: Cheyenne, WY 82001

Job Overview:

• Reason for Coverage: Vacancy; need a Hematology-Oncology physician to start in March 2025.
• Duration: 6 months to 1 year
• Expected Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible schedule)
• Patient Volume: patients per day
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Facility Type: Hospital (Inpatient and Outpatient care)

Schedule:

• Desired Coverage Period: March 11, 2025 June 27, 2025
• Preferred Schedule:
• 5 days a week or 2 weeks per month
• Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM
• Call Coverage:
• Monday - Thursday: 5 PM - 8 AM
• Friday - Monday: 3 PM - 8 AM
• Weekend Call: Every third weekend, Friday-Monday

Patient Care:

• New Patients: 1-2 new patients per day
• Follow-Ups: 10-12 follow-ups per day
• Appointment Length:
• New Patients: 1 hour
• Follow-Ups: 30 minutes
• Inpatient/Outpatient Care: Both (inpatient consults and admitted patients)
• Support Staff: LPN, Administrative Assistant

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Certification: Hematology and Oncology Certification required
• State License: Must be licensed in Wyoming (or willing to obtain)
• Language Skills: English (Spanish a plus)
