Job Title: Occupational Therapist.
Location: Sacramento VA Medical Center.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Qualifications: - Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in any U.S. state or territory.
- Board certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) with current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum one year of inpatient rehabilitation experience for inpatient roles.
- Minimum one year of outpatient orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation experience for outpatient roles.
Duties: - Evaluate patients to assess functioning and impairments.
- Develop and implement treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Prescribe and train in the use of wheelchairs and mobility devices.
- Assess patient deformities and ensure proper fit of equipment.
- Re-evaluate progress and modify treatments as necessary.
- Train family members in patient handling.
- Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
