POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Team Lead, Auto Insurance, you will play a crucial role in leading our branch operations and creating a positive environment for staff development and growth. You will collaborate with the Branch Manager to ensure day-to-day duties are managed effectively, maintain high standards of client service, and drive the achievement of branch goals. Your expertise in insurance will help safeguard what our clients value most and enhance their experience with Waypoint.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Branch Operations & Leadership

• Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and implement processes that optimize client service and streamline branch operations.

• Ensure all staff are well-versed in the Company’s mission, objectives, and common goals, fostering a unified team approach.

• Assist with scheduling, managing absenteeism, and finding coverage to ensure that staffing needs are consistently met.

• Support the training and development of both new and existing staff, providing the necessary tools and knowledge to uphold Company procedures and expectations.


Client Servicing

• Efficiently handle client complaints, ensuring timely resolution and proposing solutions to mitigate issues while maintaining high standards of customer service.

• Uphold rigorous processing standards for the storage, retrieval, confidentiality, and accuracy of client information and documentation.


Insurance Knowledge & Reporting

• Continuously develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of ICBC products, private auto insurance manuals, best practices, and industry standards.

• Assist at the front counter and provide support where necessary to ensure seamless branch operations.

• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment by building positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager to contribute to the overall success of the branch.


REQUIREMENTS

• Level 2 General Insurance License with the Insurance Council of BC or working towards.

• Proven experience in leading and coaching a team to achieve success and meet targets.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and staff.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and concise interactions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Previous sales experience is highly valued, demonstrating the ability to meet goals and deadlines while delivering outstanding customer service.

• Motivated to surpass assigned targets, think critically, and problem-solve effectively, with a keen curiosity and desire for innovative solutions.
