About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement, you will be responsible for the management and execution of activities surrounding the procurement of all Construction and Fabrication Services across North America, with a large focus on competitive sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs), evaluate proposals with internal stakeholders and lead contractual negotiations with suppliers
  • Review, draft and negotiate various contracts and service agreements
  • Support contract renewals (e.g., staffing agreements, engineering and design, contract monitoring, and other related services)
  • Proactively manage existing Master Services Agreements to ensure compliance to the negotiated terms and conditions
  • Review and draft Scope of Works (SOWs) or Addendum Agreements under the terms of existing Master Services Agreements
  • Develop sourcing strategies that maximize value and mitigate risks to the company and its clients
  • Work with functional leaders to set strategic procurement direction for Construction and Fabrication services
  • Safeguard, and ensure adherence to, all company procurement processes and policies
  • Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders, as needed
  • Assist in other day-to-day Procurement tasks as required


Knowledge and Experience Required

  • A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in Procurement, Contract Management or related field
  • Completion of an Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field
  • Experience reviewing and drafting contracts and service agreements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to recognize and address risks and opportunities
  • Strong negotiation skills & working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
  • Strong understanding of, and experience with, legal terms and conditions
  • Experience in procuring consulting services would be considered an asset
  • Thorough understanding of full cycle procures to pay process & previous experience using an ERP system (IFS considered an asset)
  • Working knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently within a team environment
  • Positive, proactive approach to enhancing procurement methods and company practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • French communication skills considered an asset.


Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
