Position Summary:
Looking for a Senior BIM Specialist. Play a critical role in the development and implementation of BIM standards and procedures, focusing on railway infrastructure projects. Possess deep understanding of BIM processes, software, and standards, who can effectively collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality BIM models that meet project requirements and objectives.
Essential Functions / Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- BIM Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement comprehensive BIM strategies for railway projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry standards.
- BIM Standards and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain BIM standards and procedures in accordance with industry best practices, ensuring compliance across all railway infrastructure projects.
- Model Development and Management: Lead the creation and management of detailed, accurate BIM models for railway projects, ensuring they meet design, construction, and operational requirements.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate and coordinate BIM models across disciplines, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications and BIM standards.
- Training and Support: Provide guidance, training, and support to team members and stakeholders on BIM processes, tools, and best practices, enhancing the team’s BIM capabilities.
- Data Management: Oversee the management of BIM data, ensuring its accuracy, security, and accessibility to all stakeholders.
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest BIM technologies and methodologies, recommending and implementing improvements to BIM processes and tools to enhance project outcomes.
- Project Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation of BIM models and processes, facilitating smooth project handovers and ongoing operations and maintenance activities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure the BIM models effectively support project goals.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience in BIM modelling, with a strong focus on railway infrastructure projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- BIM Expertise: Extensive knowledge of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650), processes, and software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
- Railway Project Experience: Proven experience in developing BIM models for railway projects, with a thorough understanding of the unique requirements and challenges of railway infrastructure.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in BIM software, with strong technical skills in model creation, management, and coordination.
