ERP Senior Project Manager

Contract: 1 year

Location: Mississauga, ON


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ERP Senior Project Manager to oversee the implementation, upgrade, and continuous improvement of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ERP solutions, excellent project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment of ERP solutions, meeting business requirements, and driving operational efficiency across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership:
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of ERP implementation and upgrade projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Develop detailed project plans, define project scope, and establish key milestones.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources (technical and functional teams) to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, mitigating them as required.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all ERP project stakeholders, including executives, department leaders, and vendors.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to senior management and other stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business requirements are clearly defined and met.
  • ERP Solution Oversight:
  • Oversee the selection, customization, configuration, and integration of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
  • Ensure the ERP system meets business needs, integrating processes across finance, supply chain, HR, manufacturing, etc.
  • Evaluate and recommend ERP best practices, ensuring scalability and flexibility of the solution.
  • Team Management and Development:
  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, business analysts, and consultants.
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to junior team members to help develop their skills.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring smooth communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Change Management:
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of ERP systems across all departments.
  • Design and deliver end-user training programs and documentation to ensure successful system adoption.
  • Work closely with the business to develop and implement transition strategies, ensuring minimal disruption during ERP go-live.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of ERP systems and processes.
  • Stay updated on the latest ERP trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the company.
  • Post-implementation, conduct reviews to assess ERP system performance, capturing lessons learned and ensuring ongoing support.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • PMP, Agile, or other relevant project management certifications.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on ERP implementations.
  • In-depth experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex ERP projects from initiation through go-live.
  • Strong understanding of business processes in areas such as finance, operations, supply chain, and HR.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies for project delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing business needs.
  • Knowledge of data migration, integration, and reporting within ERP environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
