The Opportunity:

Our client, a manufacturer of trim for automotive interiors and exteriors, is seeking a Product Designer to join their team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Create new product designs using the latest engineering processes and tools.
• Improve the design of current products continuously, utilizing best practices such as VAVE and DOE.
• Participate in the design innovation process.
• Verify and validate designs using tolerance analysis, engineering calculations, prototypes, fit-ups, and DVP&R management.
• Perform DFMEA's, DFM/DFA, VA/VE analysis, and material specifications.

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

• Mechanical Diploma and/or Engineering Degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Proficiency in core CAD products such as NX and CATIA V5.
• Ability to develop 3D product models and drawings using standard industry practices in CAD.
• Experience with FEA.
• Understanding of basic automotive OEM, QS TS, and ISO systems.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping and fit-up skills.
